Are you interested in discovering the food of East Africa?
Aisha Yussuph is a chef and entrepreneur with roots in Tanzania and Somalia. With Jikoni, she wants to highlight East African cuisine and invite more people to discover its rich flavors, traditions and hospitality. Together with Joakim, she has prepared the menu for the evening.
The dinner takes place at the home of co-founder of Food Fest Gothenburg Joakim, where the kitchen is open. You get to follow the food from cooking to serving, and chance to ask questions along the way. Joakim is also a sommelier, has written and filmed at Michelin taverns around the world as well as arranging several fine dining pop-ups at his home.
We will match the food with local drinks, and try to use local ingredients as much as possible. Only 10 seats.
We plan to serve the menu below:
Maji ya Matunda Mchanganyiko
Drink on mango, passion fruit, pineapple, coconut water, orange juice and lime
